One Club Chair.....3 different looks with slip-covers!

I have a club-chair that I often change up with slipcovers. Below are a few pics that highlight how one chair can take on three different looks. While one of my slipcovers is from the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target, the other two were purchased at thrift-stores. If you want to change up the look of a chair try slipcovers!

Stacks of pretty pillows!

Don't know why, but I love the look of stacks of pretty pillows piled up here and there. To me, they just look charming and remind me of nesting, and just plain comfort. I stack pillows in the family room, living room, hallway, etc., While I have found many pillows/shams at thrift-stores/flea markets, I have also purchased several shams for pillows from the simply shabby chic line at Target. Here are a few pics.

Candelabra Crazy!

Once in awhile, I pull out my candelabra. I can count on the fixtures to add a bit of sparkle to a room.  I purchased my two gold candelabra with crystals at a flea market. I don't recall where I got my two white candelabra, but they sure are fun to display. I have dressed the white ones up with little turquoise beads.

Bessie Pease Guttman Prints! (in honor of Molly Claire)

I have babies on the brain today. My niece gave birth to a beautiful baby girl early this morning. I am a great aunt for the 4th time, and Catherine has a new baby cousin. My new niece, Molly Claire is absolutely beautiful. Am so thankful to the Lord for this new life. In honor of Molly Claire, I am posting my Bessie Pease Guttman baby prints. I began collecting these prints when I first got married 33 years ago. It took some time to collect these prints, as I purchased them at thrift stores. Love my collection! Molly Claire, this post is in honor of your birthday today! Love you!

Earrings, Earrings, Earrings!

My daughter and I quickly learned that the very first place to head in a thrift-store is the jewelry counter. Over the years, we have found some beautiful earrings, both clip and pierced. Earrings are typically anywhere between .50 cents and $5.00.We both are crazy for vintage jewelry. Here is a pic of some of the earrings I have found. I also purchased these three little vintage earring stands for clip earrings for $2.00 @ piece. Just love these! If you love costume jewelry, you will love the earrings you might find at a thrift-store.

Updated Craft/work room!

Have always made a space in my world for a craft/work room. I have created nooks here and there all around the house for this purpose. I recently decided to update my space, and created such a niche in a spare bed-room. Absolutely love this all-purpose room. The entire space was put together using thrift store finds; i.e, furniture, lighting, inspiration boards etc.
