34th Wedding Anniversary!

Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. Feel so blessed to be married to such an amazing husband and father. Am truly thankful to the Lord for his many blessings. Tonight, as I read my devotions, pulled out one of my bible book-marks featuring our wedding photo from 34 yrs ago (made with thrift-store ephemera). Just a reminder that little hand-made items can truly be precious.

Outfit L-O-V-E

I love this outfit so much!  This sweater I'm wearing is now one of my favorite new GO-TO pieces; It''s vintage, made of great quality material, and has a collar with buttons, so it easily can turn into a turtleneck if I want. :) Also found H&M highwaisted jeans, which fit perfectly.  Finally, love this little top from a thrift store I purchased awhile back - purple with a pretty flower print. 

A rainy Saturday! (thrift-store raincoat & bag)

We had a much needed down-pour of rain this morning. Got out my thrift-store rain-coat and rain bag! They were perfect for today's weather! Love finding classic pieces like these! $5.00 for both. What a deal! Hope you all have a great week-end!

Got out a few of my blue thrift-store vases again. Love how these freshen up the decor. I enjoy the summer vibe even in the fall!

Ok,..I know this blog is a little silly, but I love these Victoria's Secret (VS) pajamas.  Who can resist picking this PJ set up?! ($8.00 at Goodwill, washed and now like brand new ;)

Mums for my Birthday!

Celebrated my Birthday this weekend. My sweet husband, surprised me with mums that he picked from our garden. Popped them into a thrift store vase and voila! Pure bliss!

My sweet husband picked me mums from our garden for my Birthday! Love these! You can also get a peek here of my vintage wall-paper (found at a thrift-store). It is hard to find, so if you are lucky enough to find a pattern that you like, my advice is to snatch it up! 

 

Every fall, I look forward to our garden mums in full bloom!

Outfit for Work

When I heard I had to go and observe the BBO (Board of Bar Overseers) for my class last semester, (this is a hearing for ethical violations committed by lawyers) I looked in my closet and found nothing.  So, naturally I went to the thrift store to pick up something professional to wear for my event. I especially love the felted purse I bought for a $1.00!  All I know is that it is worth a lot more,.. especially since someone's hard work went into it.

White collared shirts are great for everything!  This collar was a bit outdated, but it worked well.
