Fun Graphic Tee

This t-shirt I got a few weeks ago was too cute to pass up. In fact a lady saw it in my hand and couldn't stop raving to her friend about how adorable it was.... I would have to agree with her.
Anyways, I figured I should post this blog now while it's technically still winter in Massachusetts!
I love it!
Cute "English Snowman!"
It's baggy, comfortable and short... perfect for layering.
"I love you snow much"

Lace trim (pretty & pink)!

Purchased two packages of this  pink lace trim at the thrift-store this morning. Not sure what I will use it for, but it was so pretty that I couldn't pass it up.

Ballet Slipper Pink Lace! Love it!

Love finding lace and ribbons at the thrift-store to use for arts, crafts, book-marks etc.

For now, have tacked it up on my inspiration board!

Vintage tin TV/Bed tray!

The other day I spotted this pretty vintage tray on my way out of the thrift store. It is a bit beat up, but I think that adds to it's character. This little tray with a little two-fold stand is not only pretty, but also functional. Used it for my soup the other night while watching TV.......love it!!

This little trray is so handy!

Love the little fold down legs....

Floral-Victorian motif!

Easy to transport from room to room!

Pink rhinestone necklace.....a $2 find!

Recently found this pink/rhinestone necklace at a thrift-store for $2.00. While it is a reproduction and not a real vintage piece, thought it was so pretty......

Love the pink color.....and am crazy for rhinestones!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Although St. Patrick's Day was yesterday, here in Massachusetts, where so many Irish reside, they celebrate all week! With everyone wearing green today, I was inspired to share some of my "finds" that I appreciate on this holiday.
One of my favorite jewelry boxes
Always have loved this dark green emerald color!
I've had this little vintage metal tray forever! So nice for throwing my keys/remotes/other miscellaneous items on. I think it's so cute sitting on my desk, coffee-table, or next to my TV.
The back of the tray.  Even though it depicts a 4-leaf clover instead of a Shamrock, and with reference to the French instead of the Irish, it nevertheless gets me in the Irish spirit today. And after all, St. Patty's is celebrated by so many different cultures, so it seems appropriate.... (I'm not Irish either).
"In ancient France the people believed the four-leaved clover was endowed with marvelous virtues and good luck, and this belief still remains all over the world."
My mom gave me these earrings, which she had purchased from a thrift store. She has such great style!
Got these thrifting in California with mom on December break. <3

Vintage Wallpaper!

A few years ago, I found two precious roles of vintage wallpaper at a consignment/thrift store. While the color palette is a bit brighter than what I typically prefer, I decided to hang it anyway. Am so glad that I did. It graces one wall in the hallway leading to our bedrooms. Absolutely love it. I am always on the look-out for vintage wallpaper.  If you come across vintage wallpaper that you are crazy about, you may want to consider it as finding a print you really love is not easy. (even on-line). Here are a few pics!

Love passing through the hall-way on the way to the bed-rooms/bathroom. The flower printed wall-paper is so cheery!

A close-up of the pattern. Love!

The little pink wicker hamper as well as the mirror above it were also thrift-store finds.

Happy 90th Birthday Dear Mom!

Today is my sweet mom's 90th Birthday! Here is a flash-back pic of mom all dressed up for a family photo. Mom was super thrifty and sewed matching dresses for my sister and I. Notice the matching jumpers in the family photo and the matching summer dresses my sister & I wore in the 2nd photo.

Love the beautiful vintage dress my mom was wearing! Mom was so thrifty. She sewed the jumpers for my big sister and I.

Home-made matching dresses again. Love!

Mom hand stitched this pillow when she was 17 yrs old. This is my all-time favorite pillow in the world.

Thank you for being the best mom ever to my sister, brother and I!
