Blue Cashmere Cardigan

I'm always taking style ques from my mother. She's always told me that all you need is a simple cardigan to look fabulous! I love this light blue cashmere cardigan. And the last picture displays the perfect earrings to match.

A House is meant to be LIVED in!!!

See pics here of my updated craft/desk area. My craft room used to be in the guest room, but decided the room was too crowded.  I carved out a corner under my rose prints. Love the lived in look it gives the room. I don't like, a house that looks like a museum, too delicate to touch. My whole house is lived in, and so very functional. You can plop down anywhere!!  The thrifting helps with the lived in look too!

Desks, chairs, inspiration board, painting, sweaters......all found at thrift-stores.

My pretty view from desk area!

Love, Love this new area!

This solid oak swivel desk chair was found at a thrift store years ago. It has traveled with us from house to house.

Fluer-de-lis Find

Pictured here are 3x glassware items I purchased for $.50 cents each! They're perfect for organizing my jewelry.  My mom and I both LOVE items that have this French - Fleur-de-lis - decorative icon.

Très chic!
So lucky to have found these..

Banana Republic "Go to sweater"!

Found this cute Banana Republic sweater at a consignment store a few weeks ago. Decided to wear it today. I can tell this will be one of my "Go to sweaters". I like plain, classic and neutral colors. Here is a pic.  Also notice the over the top thrift-store earrings. They admittedly are a bit much, but the colors went so well with my pink tee & sweater today, had to wear them. Finally, you will also see a pretty cashmink scarf that I found thrifting awhile back. It is so soft.......love it!

Furniture Switch-up!

As many of you know, I love moving things around. Guess I inherited my "switch-up" gene from my mom whom was always changing things around.  I finished work early today, so decided to indulge. Moved my entry table into the family room and moved one of my "thrift-store" vanity dressers into the living room. It is a fun change. Also, love seeing my vintage mirrors and  twinkly chandelier in the vanity mirror when I walk into the living room from the kitchen. I know......a vanity/dresser in the living room? Crazy me! But love thinking "outside the box". Here are a few pics!

Got out my lace "Belle Notte"slip-covered pillow I purchased at a street-fair last year. Goes  well with my shabby pillows.

Lots of marble in this room now........Am "mad for marble".

This thrift-store dresser has been moved around dozens of times!

Lots of slipcovers too. Oh! The power and functionality of slipcovers!

Have a great week-end everyone!

New little "pocket of time" albums.........to add to caddy!

I usually purchase my little pocket albums (for making memory albums/ gifts for family & friends) from thrift-stores. I can usually find these for anywhere between .25 cents and $1.00. Was pleased however to run across these brand new "KEEP CALM AND ROCK ON" ones at Target today. They were on clearance for .60 cents @ piece. What a deal! Bought all 6 of them.  The timing was good as I needed a new one to make a memory album of my niece's recent trip.  Once I finish a memory album they go in a corrugated steel caddy which I found at a thrift store a very long time ago.  I did a blog on the caddy on 12/10/2013, so if you haven't seen it, check it out. "KEEP CALM AND ROCK ON"!!!!

A new memory album to add to the caddy! :)

Bought this pretty mother/daughter pocket album at a thrift store for .25 cents. Think I'll fill this one of pics of Catherine and I. Love the color palette!!

My caddy is getting filled up. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for another one when I am out thrifting!

It is fun to randomly pull out a little "pocket of time" album and reminisce!

Fun Graphic Tee

This t-shirt I got a few weeks ago was too cute to pass up. In fact a lady saw it in my hand and couldn't stop raving to her friend about how adorable it was.... I would have to agree with her.
Anyways, I figured I should post this blog now while it's technically still winter in Massachusetts!
I love it!
Cute "English Snowman!"
It's baggy, comfortable and short... perfect for layering.
