Furnish a vacation home with thrift store finds!

We are blessed to have a vacation cottage on the coast overlooking the Pacific ocean! The house is minimally furnished with mostly thrift store finds. We don't want to clutter or over furnish this house so as to detract from the ocean views. The cottage is like a little jewel box perched above the ocean. Hope that you enjoy these photos. If you own or rent a cottage or cabin, hope that this post provides you with some decorating inspiration.

Old furniture is slipcovered. Both of the wicker pieces are thrift store finds!

The antique dining table was found at a 2nd-hand store. The slip-covered chairs were found at a local thrift store.

Stopped at a local mission thrift store & found a love-seat for $75.00. It was an ugly mint green, but slip-covered it & it is now perfect here.

Made these curtains out of mismatched lace panels found at thrift store. Had to piece together the bottoms to make them long enough. The two outside panels are pink lace. The inside panels are cream colored lace. Love their vintage look!
Vintage photos in thrift store frames line the mantle.

Made these lace curtains for the bathroom out of non-matching lace panels found at thrift store. Yes, those are elk grazing in our yard. Not an everyday occurrence, but always thrilling to see!
White ironstone crockery above cabinets found at a thrift store. Updated this kitchen photo post on 11/11/2013, after finding the pretty lace curtain for kitchen window at a thrift-store!

Love the coast!
